For general support to educate and inform the public about lupus, a chronic disease with no known cause or cure that affects two million Americans and is the leading cause of stroke, kidney and cardiovascular disease among young women. The SLE Foundation also provides services to people with lupus and their families and works to raise funds to support research for better treatments and a cure.
