Care for the Journey Initiative
To support the Care for the Journey Initiative to enhance the emotional and spiritual support of patients and their families facing terminal illness or death through the emotional and spiritual support of their caregivers. The initiative will offer a palliative care training curriculum to health care professionals to help them accept death as part of life. It also will raise public awareness of the need for the emotional and spiritual education of health caregivers through partnerships with leaders in the field and existing organizations.
