National Museum of the American Indian/The Circle of Dance

To support the National Museum of the American Indian/The Circle of Dance, the inaugural presentation opening the new public space, The Pavilion, at the museum in New York City. Artists from 10 communities will be commissioned to design dance regalia. Life-sized mannequins will display the dance regalia as well as objects used by dancers including rattles, drums, fans and dance sticks. Public programs will include dance performances, art projects, storytelling and demonstrations of carving and basketry.
