Total Award: $20,000 over 1 year

To support the Israeli-Palestinian Negotiating Partners (IPNP) 2004 Summer Workshop operating costs. Eight Israeli and eight Palestinians, all representatives of four professional sectors - security, media and public relations, government and business, participated in the Workshop and were trained to use interest-based negotiation tools and methods to shift the negotiating culture within the Middle East towards joint-problem solving practices and an atmosphere of mutual understanding for participants on either side of the conflict. The Israeli-Palestinian Negotiating Partners group was established in 2001 and founded by Nobel Peace Prize nominee Roger Fisher.
