Media Workshop with Survivors of Prostitution
Total Award: $22,700 over 1 year
To support the Media Workshop with Survivors of Prostitution, a twelve-week media workshop for former prostitutes and those trying to leave the sex trade. Participants will learn media skills, develop leadership skills, produce a video and posters. The workshop and accompanying public education campaign will serve as an outlet to express survivors' personal experiences, raise public awareness about the root causes of prostitution and advocate for policies that promote the decriminalization of sex trade victims.
