Return to Earth: Spirit and Memory
An exhibition curated by Carol Blank

Kazuko

Within my work I support an awareness of nature conservation. This is evident both by my use of twigs and stones as materials, as well as in the emotional attitude projects by the finished work. I also feel proud to be part of a generation of artists who understand and appreciate women's issues and are not afraid to emphasize this in their work. Throughout my creative life, I have gone out of my way to treat materials in what I feel is a femine manner. This can be seen in my recurrent use of weaving as a medium, in my selection of materials (such as fabrics) and in my imagery.
