My Spirit Masks are the result of my trying to understand and realize that I am a part of the very Nature that effects everything. Like many city people, I have often felt separated from Nature. Through my life experiences and as a Native American, I later realized that everything and every place is a part of Nature. That all life in the city--with all its good and bad--is Natural.

Then, there is the part of Nature that is harder to see, but we know it's there. A mystery. These Spirit Masks express that mystery, that freedom. They celebrate the air, the breath, and natural spirit, which keeps us alive.
