The Nathan Cummings Foundation is pleased to launch the search for the second cohort of The Nathan Cummings Foundation Fellowship. Three visionaries will receive $100,000 each for one year and the space to turn an inspired idea into a game-changing reality. Successful applicants will be proven risk-takers who are ready to build on the Foundation’s strengths, question our assumptions, and be open to new approaches.
Nathan Cummings Fellows will work in close collaboration with NCF staff and other Fellows on innovative projects that challenge established strategies and align with new and unexpected partners.

The Fellowship Program provides three individuals with $100,000 each to pursue a social or economic justice objective over one year. The proposed projects must demonstrate exceptional vision and relate to at least one the Foundation’s focus areas:

Fellows' projects will be expected to build on NCF’s current program areas and approaches by pushing beyond its boundaries and opening productive new lines of inquiry; asking provocative questions; challenging conventional wisdom; and developing new ideas, approaches, and strategies.
Fellows will have access to career support from the NCF staff and a network of NCF grantees and advisors, both during and after their fellowship year.
Applications are due by midnight, Eastern Time on March 12, 2014. Six to nine finalists will be invited to present at the Foundation’s board meeting in New York City in April 2014 at which time the three Fellows will be selected. The grant term will be July 2014 to June 2015.
