Teaching and Leadership Development Program
Now in its 20th year, the Drisha Institute for Jewish Education is the leading institution for teaching classical Jewish texts to women. Traditionally, women in the Orthodox Jewish world have had limited opportunities to pursue serious text study and assume positions of leadership. Through intensive study at Drisha, a number of young wome n now have the knowledge equivalent of men who have been in Orthodox rabbinical school. Drisha students are pioneers, trail-blazing new opportunities for women in the Orthodox community. Our October 1998 to Drisha will allow the Institute to design a teaching and leadership development program to enable its students to reach their full potential as teachers and leaders in the traditional Jewish world.
